Objective: Multinodular goiter is a common surgical disease. There no consensus regarding the extent of thyroidectomy for multinodular goiter. This study aims to present personal experience on treating patients with and compare complication rates results total partial goiter.
 Material Method: Three hundred fifty underwent between May 2003 October 2010. All were diagnosed as referred surgery by one endocrinologist. operations also performed surgeon using microsurgical techniques. Partial (bilateral subtotal or unilateral contralateral thyroidectomy) was in 65 (Group-1) extracapsular 285 (Group-2). are being followed from day they until now same Fisher exact test used statistical analysis.
 Results: In Group-1, patient had transient vocal-cord palsy but none hypoparathyroidism. On other hand, Group-2, two palsy, five hypocalcemia (one permanent), hematoma. Mortality wound infection absent both groups. The histopathological studies showed that 40 incidental thyroid carcinomas occurred among Group-2 patients. During long-term follow-up, 13 recurrence (n = 65, 20%) whereas Group-2.
